I've never been religious. My parents never really presented religion to me growing up, I believe in personal truth and wisdom. I think every human should question the authority in the search for knowledge, so I study all religions and human history. What I find is the laws of religion conflict the laws of the universe. No person should predetermine the outcome of any given situation. It is a decision to be made when presented based upon the facts. God is often used as means of hiding ones fear. Like a sudden turning point that rights all your wrongs, masking the reality. A crutch for the weak willed, because they have yet to realize the truth and empowerment waiting within themselves.
I'd say I practice universal love. I believe in a relation between all living organisms. I believe that relation is the essence of what God is. We are each the soul proprietors of our own personal realm of life, and it seems like we're losing that simple knowledge. When we can come to terms with the good and bad and in between, the harmony we receive is love and of that becomes empowerment. It isn't a perpetual feeling, but shining this light will reflect on those in your life, and so on. I don't mean it is rational to be optimistic or a positive thinker. It does not work, it's a band-aid on a bullet wound. However expansive that person's mind is, they are masking the truth. Life is much more complex and vividly colored than black and white. It takes knowledge and a vulnerable open mind to inform yourself of the truth.
